Pedagogic support

Members of Vahatra contribute to the education of numerous students working for their higher degrees in the national university system. These individuals are amongst the future scientific leaders of the country, many of which are trained in conservation biology and biodiversity science. Vahatra staff members present courses and help guide students at the following universities:

• Department of Animal Biology, University of Antananarivo
• Institut des Sciences et Techniques de l’Environnement (ISTE), University of Fianarantsoa
• Department of Animal Biology, University of Mahajanga
• Department of Animal Biology, University of Toliara

Further, Vahatra staff members have been committee members for Master’s and PhD theses at universities in the USA, France (including La Réunion), Finland, and South Africa.
