Members of Vahatra contribute to the education of numerous students working for their higher degrees in the national university system. These individuals are amongst the future scientific leaders of the country, many of which are trained in conservation biology and biodiversity science.

Further, Vahatra staff members have been committee members for Master’s and PhD theses at universities in the USA, France (including La Réunion), Finland, and South Africa.
